Pushing Against Rules
Sometimes the cards force us to look at the uncomfortable…
Each week when I set out to do these collective readings, it’s first thing in the morning on a Monday—in order to be able to publish it for Tuesday… I have my coffee, cards, casting book and just set an intention for the energy we need this week. There’s normally a voice in the back of my mind that’s like “keep it neutral, don’t make it political…” then like this week’s reading out pours the card for the prompts:
Comfort: The current energy that’s keeping us sheltered: Justice 🥴
Unknown: What awaits us, the energy daring us to take the leap: 4 of Pentacles 🫣
Bridge: How best to push past boundaries, what’s needed for the journey ahead: 2 of Wands 🔥
At that moment I’m already too deep into the reading and just feel the entirety of the current political landscape screaming at me from the casting page. I sprinkle in the lenormand tiles as the action steps: Guidance for facing this unknown journey… Tree, Lily and Moon… ancestry/roots branching out plus virtuosity and a spotlight on cycles… Ok sure, all things are cyclical I get that, I also know that the lily can be an elder man in lenormand and that tree points to health, moon speaks of cycles and spotlights. (Is the/his cycle nearing completion? 🤞)
Then as the closer for the reading, I pull an oracle card as guidance in the Vastness, energy that we can tap into at any moment on this journey— is it helpful or hindering… I shuffle and we have a jumper, so instead of shuffling it back into the deck, I say “Ok this must be the one…” flip it over “Nightmare” good grief and no shit! (ABORT READING!!!) 😂 I literally say in the video (below) “how’s she gonna spin this one…”
My point in sharing this part of the process is: I always just come as I am to the cards in order to facilitate a reading for the collective, I try not to make it political, but sometimes it has other plans. One of the things I have learned about cartomancy is that I can not take myself so seriously. It’s why the videos are unedited and you get access to early morning me… If it’s truly going downhill, (jumbling words, brain fog) I will restart but more often than not I keep going because I know that just because the reading may not make sense to me and my current situation… it’s NOT for me, these readings are for YOU and ultimately I know if just ONE person connects with it, then I’ve done my job.

Aug 26 - Sept 1, 2025
We are being dared to explore beyond our perceived comfort zones this week.
We’ve arrived at the Fool’s cliff and are now examining what’s keeping us sheltered… then being asked to take a leap of faith.
There’s this net of “safety” when examining the way things should or shouldn’t be and then assuming others are following the rules as we would…
Recent events have proven this to not be true, if there’s no accountability, then the rules are irrelevant. Nightmares seem to be looming in every proverbial corner…perhaps they are actually just misunderstood dreams? (Can one person’s dream become a nightmare to someone else? Yes, I think so…) We may be realizing that staying calm and carrying on is no longer the comfort it once was. We hear the stirrings to make a shift, to take a leap. We are at the edge of the cliff and we already know what’s behind us… We are ready.
What awaits us in the unknown— asking us to examine our personal resources, to take stock… Maybe there’s been so much that weighs us down lately that we finally can let go of? We are able to make easier moves if we aren’t burdened down by so much “stuff”.
The bridge from outside controlled balance to having a personal stronghold on what we need— is to examine the situation outside of ourselves. Realizing there’s a greater world beyond this sheltered system that we’ve come so conditioned to accept. We are in the beginning stages, full on planning mode, preparing for a new future.
We dare to dream big!
What helps us to get going is knowing that we’ve been branching out for a while, our intentions are pure and we know this is the right time, the cycle is almost complete— all eyes on us!
